Default Interior thermometer issues

I have the interior over head lights with the compass and thermostat. All the sudden it's showing -49F lol. I live in tampa fl and there's no way it's ever been that cold. Any ideas?

sounds like you have a shorted or just worn out temp gauge . the outside sensor is damaged . I think it is front of the radiator on left side at the bottom . I'm not sure of location and I don't have my PT Book anymore.

Hope this helps

So I piped the hood pulled the grill and surprisingly the senser was missing. Went to the junk yard pulled one went home plugged it in and its fixed. Works perfectly.

Uh, how was it showing the temperature before this? You mean it just fell off? Must be someone in the Tampa area needed a sensor for themselves.

It worked just fine one day and the next it didn't. Upon taking the grill off the senser was not there just the plug

Did you check the back seat for my mother in law ? You can't miss her, she'll be the one eating a raw salmon

JM , Glad it was a Quick Fix and a cheap one at that. At some point I would order a new sensor. Cause not knowing how long the replacement is going to Last . I would also sucure it with tape around the Plug in case the plug is loose .
