Default belt noise?

Each time I push the gas pedal, there are some chirping noise from the engine,
I push the pedal harder, the frequency is higher.

Some people suggest me to check the belt or maybe change them.

My model is 2006 touring, how many belt need I change?
What is specification of them?

I checked that the belt for alternator is 345k4
But for the AC/PS, I am not sure is it 550K4 or 555K4

my model is 2006 touring signature 4 dr, non-turbo

thanks

The ONLY belt that might make a squealing noise is the alternator belt. The other (Serpentine belt) has a tensioner that should keep the belt at the correct tension and you shouldn't hear any squealing. The alternator belt is tensioned by tightening the alternator itself by the pivot bolt.

Thank you.

Does the noise means that the alternator belt is too loose and need to be tightened?
So can I fix this problem just through tightening the bolt?

she said chirping!

i'm 90% sure you're going to need a new tensioner/idler pulley. you can get just the pulley, or you can get the whole tensionser. i believe mine cost $26 from vatozone. i just got the pulley

take off the serpentine belt and leave the alternator belt on, then start the car. if the chirping is gone you'll know the alternator and alternator belt are OK

when the serp.belt is off you can rotate the AC PS and IDLER pulleys by hand to see what is chirping. odds are you'll feel a rough spot in the Idler pulley. you get to the tensioner from the passenger wheelwell once the splash shield is taken off

More accurately, the noise is like whistle.

Thank you for your suggestion

So much for the "chirping" sound, and it could still be the alternator belt.

Depending on your milage you may just need to adjust the alt belt as CREWZIN said. Quick way to tell is squirt some tire shine on the alt belt, on the inside part. This should rid you of the nose for s while. It will come back if you don't adj or replace.

When diagnosing belt noise you need to distinguish between whether the noise is a "chirp" or a "squeal". Chirp is more commonly heard on poly-rib serpentine systems and is usually caused by pulley misalignment (improper installation of accessory, worn pulleys or tensioner, failing harmonic balancer). Squeal is usually a tension issue.
