Default Water Pumps

So how many people have used this water pump? Any problems? How many miles do you have on the pump so far? AIRTEX #AW7167 from RockAuto. RockAuto Parts Catalog .. It has a 12month/12000 warranty.. I can get one made by GMB at Advance for $60 with a lifetime warranty..Has anybody used the one from Advance? The OEM local is $103.00

I have used and installed dozens sold hundreds of AIRTEX 20+plus years and GMB over 30+plus years. They are both good choices to go with. On my current PT AIRTEX #AW7167.

Funny you mention these 2 particular brands...
I just happen to have them both!

Sorry, can't say I used the pump. I used a Gates pump (kit, with timing belt, etc.) when I replaced mine.

Just FYI, Rockauto has a coupon code for 5% off (code: 1266296310214368 in "How Did You Hear About Us" box), which may help.

Thanks for the pics. I believe I'm gonna go with the Airtex AW7167 and the Gates TCK265ARB kit..Does the water pump come with the gasket or is that something I need to pick up?

It comes with a new seal. Look in the box to be sure that it is there.

I wonder why the impeller is different on the GMB.. Less/more water flow? I also plan on replacing the crank and camshaft seals why I'm in there..They are not leaking but I'm going to replace them anyway.. Should I get factory seals, or just go to Advance or Autozone?

On the seals, call around and see who is cheapest. Far as the pump. The steel impeller is a n/a pump. The other is a turbo pump.

Well, that explains that.. I'm probably being picky on the seals.I just don't want to have to do it twice..I might try to go OEM if they are not to expensive..
