Talking 04/2.4 flutuation temp gauge/engine hesitation

after having 2 cam/crank shafts sensors replaced at 2 different times (in 12 months) it seems that my problem has come back, MAYBE. I have engine hesitations at stop lights and accelerations. Using women terms It feels like the engine is having a series of burping almost to the point of stalling. The car runs fine other than this. ALSO, my Temp gauge always held steady at the median point. It has started to dip slightly then rise apparently for no reason. Is this a symptom of a future break down recent repairs include new plugs, timing belt, water pump .
I would love some input from some WISER PT OWNERS

Who installed the timing belt and water pump? They may have the belt off a tooth. The air may not have been bled completely from the system after the water pump installation. A dirty throttle body can also cause rough idle. Has it ever been cleaned?

It was installed when the water pump started dripping. And a few 1000 miles ago. I am worried that the hesitation is another sensor. I am frustrated at the hesitations. They are becoming more frequent.

The temp. gage should never go over half. Dropping down to 1/4 during during cold weather, then back up to half is ok. When engine is cold in the am, remove pressure cap [this is a two step process]. The coolant level should be within 1" of the top. And orange and clean. Turn cap over and wipe both rubber seals. Check for cracks. Replace cap [two step process]. Plastic overflow tank must be filled to the 'cold line' on the tank. But not much higher. Check tank hose for cracks, as it is used to 'refill' the engine with coolant as the engine cools. Use only mopar HOAT [orange] antifreeze mixed with distilled water 50/50. See owners manual.

Thank You pt6 and littleblueGT. I looked through my service paperwork and at my last oil change (I get them free from the dealership as part of my purchase deal) they noted that needed to clean the throttle body. I didn't do it
So that is the plan today.
As for the Temp gauge, it never goes above 1/2 so I guess I am in business. The Thermostat housing was replaced,(when the timing belt and water pump were replaced)it had a crack in it.
I had the plugs replaced (2 were cracked). the wires were new in 2010, and they are MOPAR wires.
If you all have any other thoughts posthere or FB Lynn KoeppenBurkard

I love my Little Buddy. I feel fun when I driven' around.
