Default watts link woes...

hello 01 pt 178xxx miles and still climbing!

got bored the other day and decided to finally change my watts link. (amazing... my car dont shake like a paint shaker any more)

worked great; easy to do only, have one issue... i have less than 5 thousand miles on my new watts link and the same vibration/shimmy is back?? just not as bad as it was b4 the change. the link feels sloppy when i shake it by hand and it is not the "tie-rods" that connect to it thats sloppy any guess as to what would prematurely wear a watts link?

Default Re: watts link woes...

Did you replace all or any of the fasteners especially the axle bell crank bolt?

The axle itself is a VERY weak design not well engineered consequently if you have any inconsistent clearances it will magnify the end result.
