Default cleaning the underside

So I just changed the oil pressure transmitter/switch. The under side is pretty caked in gunk. What do you suggest I use clean. it's out of site but I know its there and will drive me nuts.

Or in Busted's case a clean underside keeps the neighborhood cats from following him around all day.

Degreasing engine or going to clean and paint all the floors to keep the iron worms at bay.

Simple Green works good, and Sam Adams makes the chore a little more enjoyable. Oh EastWoods makes good paint suitable for the job!

It's easy to get confused around St. Patty's Day.
