Default Tail light help

Hello everyone,, I'm new to the forum and I need some help, I have a 2009 PT Cruiser and the tail lights are acting strange.
They are out one time and working the next, checked the fuses that I could find and all of them are in working condition, so my question is, could there be something over heating to cause this problem?, because after a few hours after the car is turned off they begin working again..........hopefully I have'nt confused anyone.

Pit it sounds like you are getting an intermitent ground connection somewhere .Check the straps under the hood and at the trunk juat follow the wires and see if there are and loose connections to ground ,also check the connectors for loose wires. hope this helps
