A clean razor blade and glass cleaner to lube it works for me. Keep a fresh blade as you go and get it as clean as you can first. Not a utility blade but the rectangle type. I use hard water remover for glass also. Depends what's on it.

Hey Guys,

Agreed on the razor blade. Just make sure it is a stainless one as to not scratch the glass but that should work. You can also use OOO steel wool as well. That should work hopefully.

I use powdered Rice hulls. It will clean and polish glass without ever scratching it.

is that a Filipino thing?

if you round the corners of the blade like this it'll make scratching the glass
pretty much impossible. i use the blades i modify like this on the painted surfaces
and never scratch anything.

i also bend the blade ever so slightly

i'd spray it with windex, wipe it around with your hand, let it sit for a minute,
and scrape away. the windex is more of a lubricant than a cleaner for this

a little Bon-Ami works well too. we use it to clean the ghost lettering off
hand painted windows after i scrape the paint off with the blade.

this was me using a blade on a car this past saturday. replaced the striping
on a 2009 hyundai. car was in mint condition besides the stripe.

Zaino has some good rub on glass polish, I like that but for the heck of it I used my Porter Cable DA with fine pad and some Poor Boys swirl remover and it work awesome, took all the water spots and stuff embedded on the glass out. Also works great on the head light lenses.

I've found acetone to work well on haze removal. It also works great to refresh the rubber on the wiper blades.
