Default coolant overflow tank

Is there any reason why someone would intentionally cut the coolant overflow tank? This wwas obviously cut. Can't replace until Monday morning. Would it be ok to drive under cautious conditions for the rest of the weekend?

I'm not able to look at mine for comparison at the moment but that appears to be in the upper portion of the tank and above the full mark. This isn't a pressurized tank so it should be ok. On the other hand, maybe your overflow from the tank broke?

It will be fine I think you don't need a new one. Maybe someone will post a pic of there's.

i hate when i go to top mine off. i just pour it in intil i hear it pouring from the overflow hose onto the driveway. at least like that, you can put a cup there and catch it when it's full.

83v; your picture shows the blow-off part of the tank. The return hose is the bent hose shown at the bottom of the tank. Fill tank to the cold fill line on the tank. See owners manual.
