Default oil leak from nowhere??

as stated in the title i have a mysterious oil leak coming from my pt?? driving around it dont seem to leak at all. however when i slow down and come to a stop oil drips out of some where. i've put the pt on the lift, cleaned the front of the engine (oil leaks down the front center of the engine) let it run and looked for a leak with no luck. i'm at wits end trying to seek this leak with no luck.

01 pt 189xxx miles - new head gasket done roughly 40xxx ago new crank shaft and cam shaft seals new oil pan gasket and i still leave my mark every time i slow down?

has anyone else had this same problem?? and if so how would i go about fixin it?

Front center of the engine sure sounds like the Crankshaft seal, even though you just had it done.

When you changed the cam seals did you remove the Cam cap on that end and how did you seal it if so? The valve cover can also leak into that area.

I've been searching for a leak on my PT for a while and discovered it today when I was troubleshooting my alternator issues. You have to jack up the right front side, remove the tire, remove the inner fender liner "Belt Splash Shield" (actual title is 'Accessory Drive Splash Shield' on the '06 and up PTs), then take a look at the half-shaft. You can see if the seal is leaking. Mine is..sigh... Going to scrub it down, do a photo shoot of it clean, do a few miles then check it again....

Here's a picture of the Splash Shield from my the OEM Service Manual:

Now here's a shot of my half-shaft leak:

So you're thinking wind (roaddraft) is keeping oil in some area and it only leaks down when the speed (and wind) subsides?

Your axles look strange. My CV knuckles are practically touching the trans. What type of pt do you have?

This is the right side rob. At the intermediate shaft. That is not oil from a bearing. Something is getting on it not out of it.

crewzin, the leak is directly under the center of the car in the front of the engine bay. not located near the passengers side of the engine - or crank shaft seal your referring to. i wish i could figure out how to explain this leak a little better. i know its confusing the heck outta me.
