Default Oil Leak

Ok, I have a 2001 Pt Cruiser Limited 2.4L non-turbo. Bought it about 2 years ago, now it has 168,000 miles on it. This car has been great to me except for one thing, there is always an oil leak. It was leaking from the pan gasket, fixed that and it immediately started leaking from somewhere else. Now the pan gasket is bone dry but there is still oil coming from somewhere on the passenger side of the engine. Its really crammed together under there so I cant tell where its coming from, but the bulk of the oil is dripping off of my a/c compressor. Its motor oil for sure, not compressor oil because my oil level is going down slowly, about 1/2 a quart a month. My best guess is the crankshaft seal. All other fluids are full. I'm open to thoughts or suggestions at this point.

By your mileage, it looks like a timing belt change is coming up. When I did mine at 95000, I had my mechanic replace every seal that could reasonably be done. Maybe at that rate of leakage, it might be better to wait to everything is exposed. Just a thought. Good cruizin

If on the ac I would guess more likely the Crank is not the problem. The valve cover is one of the most likely culprits.

Im kinda putting off a timing belt change since I do all my own work and by looking at the engine compartment I can tell the timing belt is gunna be a pain!
