Default Are all PT Cruisers the same size?

How do you find out what the model is?

We're looking at a 2005 to buy and owner says they don't know the model.

Can you look an tell the model of this 2005?

They are asking $3,800.00 with 90K miles. Is that a fair price?

Looks like a "Base' model (compared to "Touring, Limited or GT"). Don't forget, at 100,000 miles a major service (somewhere around $1000) is due if you can't do the work yourself.

I agree; It looks like a 2005 PT Base(judging mainly by the plastic wheel covers/hubcaps).....Normally there should be a badge/emblem(GT,Touring,Limited,Dream,etc.) on the lower left corner of the liftgate(Except on Base model)........But,don't rely 100%;Badges/emblems can be bought.....(Can you get a picture of the rear?)

I got $3000 for the tradin on my nearly problem free (I still have parts for those problems) 06 Base with Manual Transmission with a new cooling fan ($400) and 6 month old timing belt - with water pump, tensioner and cam and crank seals replaced. Seems many say 100K for major service, i have know a few - like mine that the belt started loosing teeth at 95K. $1000 for that service from most mechanics.

Like was just said, the timing belt, water pump and tensioner all should be changed at the same time. It's 5 to 7 hours of labor IF the mechanic knows what he's doing.
