Default My driving observations

So I've been out on a few long drives and yes I know all about the poor turning circle (don't care) but I never realised how bad the blind spot is!!!! I mean awful, also the indicators are doing my head in, is it just me going deaf but I'm fed up of embarrassingly knocking them off miles after the fact!!!

All said no big deal in the wholes scheme of things. Any fixes?

I have never had any problems with blind spots. I used to drive a flatbed and a box truck when I worked in the salvage yard and I think that made me use my mirrors more then turning around to change lanes. My wife yells at me all the time "you didn't look before you changed lanes" I told her I've been using my mirrors the whole time.

That's just it, I do use my mirrors and then tend to quickly look over my shoulder. The pillar hides anything in the fast lane.....perhaps it's just me!!!

Perhaps you ought to add small convex mirrors to the outer edge of the car's exterior mirrors.
Those I added are likely less than 2 inch diameter and reveal the blind spot.
I added mine to get a sense of where the rear wheel is when parking. A glance at each mirror and I can see the painted parking space markings or curb bumper.

Yeah my thoughts to. I've had to change my reversing process also, it's a little harder to look over your shoulder in the PT so had to re learn going backwards with the mirrors.

i cut someone off once because i didnt see them. i keep my mirrors pointed far to the sides, my girlfriend had adjusted it inward.

have you taken the headrests off the back seats? if not, try it. i do this in every car i get. i also try to keep the passenger seat even with the pillar as far as line of sight goes.

if you take those rear headrests off and move the passenger seat, that little pillar area wont seem like a big deal anymore.
