Default Interior bike mount

Hello all,

None of the other boards seemed right so hopefully this is the place.

I tend to haul things way more than people so I pulled the rear seats. They're in storage if and when I need them. Leaves enough room to transport my mountain bike inside instead of out.

I bolted a fork mount to the rear shelf and have it installed in the floor level position.

The rear wheel lands nicely on one of the seat mount thingys. I have some small bungees I can use to keep the rear end from moving around.

Plenty of room for camping and biking gear.

When the bike is not in the car I have the shelf in the vertical position so groceries, etc in the rear don't slide all the way to the front when I hit the brakes.

Thought this was probably a unique-ish "mod" than somebody might enjoy seeing.

Dave

Pretty cool idea...but can you fit 2 bikes in?
How about a pic of the outside of the Cruiser too?

Very inventive!......I had a funny thought; Can you imagine someone trying to steal your bike, and having to ride a 'wheelie' with the cargo shelf attached to the front fork!

You might be able to get a second bike in there, upside down. Two fork mounts probably wouldn't work.

Here are some pics of the exterior.

Cool Re: Interior bike mount

Good work!
When I had the Dodge Caravan, I built attachments to the seat rings, and built 2 side-by-side to go crosswise in the side doors.
That way I had enough room for luggage, etc., in the rear hatch.
I still have those if someone has a late 1990's Chrysler motors minivan.
