Default crankshaft position sensor issue!!!!!

well got done rebuilding 2.4 liter dohc engine for 2001 pt. got it all back together reinstalled, when to start up the engine. cranks and builds oil pressure. no spark, no running fuel pump and injector pulse. relays and fuses check out good. the ground circuit is good for the CKP. getting a 2.6 volt from pcm, should be getting a 9 v. so the sensor can not work properly. got any ideas???

Easiest thing you can check is connections....Plug & Un-plug any connectors (CKP & CPS) again, they may not have gotten a good connection the first time they were plugged in.

What is it at the PCM pinnout?

It's common to mix up connectors, several are the same and also very close to each other.

Interestingly, VSS (manual) uses 5v ...

also when I unplug all the sensors on the circuit it reads 9 volts at the pin. but plug in the cam sensor it goes back to reading 2.6 volts. unplug cam plug in the crank sensor it reads 5 volts. unplug the crank sensor and plug in vehicle speed sensor goes back 2.6 volts. but the ground for the circuit is good.

double check the wiring harness going to the alternator. could be the wires inside the harness are chafed and shorting.
