Default OEM Suspension

I'm not the original owner of my 01 Cruiser but I'd like to know what color was the original strut springs in front and rear coils in back? Mine are yellow and the paint is peeling.
My car seems lowered and I drive onto 2x4's just to get my 3.5 ton jack under it. Just wondering in case I need to replace them.

A picture would show the lowering. Jacks are tight under the bumper anyway. Color would be black.

That be pretty cool....Seeing as you've been a member for over 1 1/2 years, and never posted a pic of your PT,or even bothered to introduce yourself........Some might think you only come here when you want something, instead of actually contributing to the group.LOL

You will need an on line photo hosting account. I use Photobucket. Then copy and paste.

Thumbs up Re: OEM Suspension

the stock suspension was all black the original owner might of painted it but from my experince that is an after market springs the struts were always black and the springs are always black as well now in order to figure out if it is aftermarket or original take a measuring tape measure from the fender to the wheel. and let us know what the measurement is

Seems a little harsh -are you the new "posting police"?

It would be nice if the new posters would at least say hello before throwing a question out to those of us that take the time to answer. After all, it is a FORUM and not just an "Ask.com" type of Google search. Heck, most of the time we don't even get them to come back after receiving detailed answers and say thank you. But, it doesn't work that way. Sometimes people need reminding. The "LOL" at the end should mean to take the comment as light hearted, but that doesn't always work either.

Randy is a great contributor to this forum and has given hundreds of answers to those who we never say or hear from again. Once in awhile, any one of us could remind those asking questions to say hello.

I'm not sure but I believe the "Goldline" brand springs are/were yellow in color. Also they may have had what could be considered an average drop of 1 1/2 - 2 inches and a 'super slam' of 3 1/2" +/- but my recall is more than a little vague on that.
