Default should I invest tlc or not?

Have a 2003 standard pt ,which my wife has totally abused, driven it like an army tank and hates this car with a passion,,shes gone through two water pumps, head gasket and since she drove it hot she warped the head ,our local mechanic fixed these issues, but doesnt guarantee head gasket work ,,,,i`ve decided to rescue this lil guy,, give it some long overdue tlc .new plugs, battery ,batt terminals, oil change GTX 5w-30..and I gotta say this is the smoothest running and quietus car i`ve ever driven, even compared to 96 honda civic,,question can I trust the pt enough to start puttin some long highway miles on it,,temp needle stays right in middle also,,,thanx

I got one I would trust anywere. But it only has 175k miles on it though. Not sure what you have on yours. Not sure I trust someone who can't trust their own work to guarantee it. A head gasket job is basic mechanic work. There's the right way, then there's the cut corners way. Just say'n!
