Default california cruiser info?

Just looking for some info on my pt. We just picked up our 1st pt, 2003 touring, it has the badge "california cruiser" on the rear hatch and passenger dash along with production number. Just wondering what differences there is with this edition beings I cant seem to find any info on the net about it. Any info would be appreciated...

The REAL California Cruiser never went into production (see photo below) so what you have is a particular dealer(s) re-badged edition, something like the RON JON Edition here on the East coast. Only a certain number were produced with an extra badge on the tailgate and front doors, sometimes some special wheels and paint. I'm pretty sure they were put together by particular dealers and not the factory but probably had to have permission from Chrysler.

I was kinda thinking the same thing but the #24 of 800 on the dash threw me off seemed like 800 was alot for a dealership to do. Beings im new to the pt's was just wondering what was different on it other than some badges but that might just be it! Gonna do a little more in depth to see what was stock and what may have been added. I do have original window sticker but no mention of the "California Cruiser" on it.

That's because it's not from the factory, it's from a particular dealer(s) that just did cosmetic changes and made up badges.

Like the Ron Jon Special Edition Cruisers....

Here's one that didn't go that far in cosmetic changes. A sicker on each door, sticker and surfer on the tailgate. Maybe different wheels...not sure on that.

Yeah very cool. Saw the proto type one read the article. Im coming to the conclusion that it is just badges, everything seems to be pretty much stock, with the exception of the tail lights carbon fiber look, was just curious beings there was no info.
