Default '05 dash master window switch?

Is the dash mounted master power window switch supposed to be illuminated at night with the headlights on?
Mine is dark and I've removed it looking for a burned out bulb but nothing found.
Strange that this isn't lit up at night...

They are "grain of wheat" bulbs that are soldered in place; You can replace them if you're handy with such things....
This should help you out:
Power window switch disassembly Part 1.....And also: Lighting up my power window switches
Edit: Actually yours may be a model that does not have the lighted switches......

Great info and links Randy!!
Reading it all over, looks like the '05 switch was left out in the dark.
If it gets to really bothering me, I'll buy an earlier version.

Don't feel bad....My 2003 PT doesn't have them either, the way to tell is mainly by the plugs/connectors,and the missing 'spades',as shown here in bottom left of this photo.

My 05 master window switch lights up. If you take the window switch out and unplug or. Then take a long handled flat screwdriver (thinner works best) and insert it to the side of the black cover it will eventually loosen itself off. Once you have the window switch electronics in hand, flip it to where it would be like in the car and you should see your led bulb, its tiny but there if you got it.

On my '06 Touring Edition, on the dash mounted 5-gang window switch, both of the switches for the front windows (top toggles) have a small green light, the rears (bottom toggles) do not. If you go to Chrysler and get their current version of the switch, the toggles for the windows are a little shorter, kind of hard to flip, and it retails for $127. I bought an older version off Ebay from a wrecked PT, because I wanted the longer toggles, and it only cost $35. There are many listed on Ebay and it worked great, not hard to replace at all!

I have included pics of the "old" & "new" style 5-gang switch. I have placed a straight edge under the toggles so that you can see how the toggles are shorter on the later (newer) version of this switch. Not sure why Chrysler would have shortened the toggles? The shorter toggles are not as easy to flick with your finger.

Just to update this...

I bought an older PT window switch off Ebay. I swapped out the guts on my original switch, replacing them with the older donor switch assembly (the face plate was in much better condition on my original).
The switch now has lights...both on the faceplate logos and the two AUTO switches. There was no lighting provision on my '05 original...I compared the two side by side.

Well then, that would lead me to believe that like most PT's they used the same harness, and even though I(and others)may have 'un-lighted switches',if I replace those with the ones w/lighting capabilities....Then they will light up;yes???(Basically there is hope?)

Worked for me.
My original switch had no "grain of wheat" bulb provision but the Ebay one did.
All I did was swap the switch guts and all is well.
Actually, I plugged in the Ebay switch first in my PT to be sure it worked correctly...and to check the illumination. It did work so I then proceeded to swap faceplates.
