Default what is this

Is there a hose or something that should be attached to this? Just got the cat back from being the rad fan replaced. If the image is huge let me know, I an using a mobile device.

No, it's the bleeder valve for the coolant.

what he said at least its not leaking might be a pain to get it losse i thought you said you had the rad replaced that would be a problem but i reread and it was the rasd FAN so no prob

You can clean & wire brush that area,and put a new bleeder valve in....Just make sure to ONLY remove it when the engine is absolutely cool,and install the new one.....Addendum: "Why is there nothing mounted in the hole for the ECT?"
