Default Rear Door Panel Removal

I have a small dent on the left side rear door, just at the wheel well bulge. It looks like it
can be pushed out from the inside. I have not had good luck getting door panels back
in place after I remove them. What are the gotcha's with a PT? I looked on You Tube, only
front door panels.

I just had mine off to replace the window motor.

It is very easy just need a little brute force to pull the clips from the sheet metal, after you remove the screws from the lower portion of the panel, underneath the triangular trim piece on the upper rear (which pulls off also) and near the pull handle to open the door.

After you have the panel loose, don't yank on the panel till you reach in and undo the clip attached to the pull handle.

The tricky part is lining up the door lock button to replace the door panel, then it is a matter of lining up the pins to the sheet metal and give it a bit of a whack with the palm of your hand.

One more thing, DON'T FORGET to hook up your pull handle before you install the panel.

This page might also give you an insight into the dissassembly, and reassembly is obviously the reverse. http://www.justanswer.com/chrysler/2...bo-cannot.html
Also;If you don't already have one,I recommend investing in a trim removal tool(priceless, compared to buying several replacement trim clips!),and depending on how bad your dent is,Autozone has a 'Body Tool Set' as part of their 'Loan-A-Tool' program(FREE!..Just leave deposit.),which has 2-3 different shaped hand held palm hammers to help in tight areas.OEM/Body tool set (25924) | Body Hammer | AutoZone.com

Thumbs up Re: Rear Door Panel Removal

Have you tried using a plumber's helper on the dent? If you think it could be popped out by taking off the door panel, then you might be able to get it out using the plunger.
Just push it on the dent until it goes flat, then with a quick pull most dents that haven't got a crease or paint damage will pop back out.
Old car painters trick.

I almost forgot......Before you do the pulling of the panel, There's a couple of more screws to remove.

The two bolts under the armrest. "they are 10 MM/Phillips head, and if you use a quarter inch drive socket, they're is plenty of room.
