Default replaced MFS now no headlights low or high ?

I replaced the multi function switch as per the thread all seemed to go well, but now I don't have have headlights low or high beam. if I pull the light switch back the high beams will come on while I hold it back but no relay noise to latch the high beams on. All other fuctions seem to be working great. I also had replaced the starter relay which is in the fuse box by the battery. I have checked the headlight fuse's (2) in the dash fuse panel. I assume there is a headlight relay, is it below the fuse panel below the dash ? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Depending on what happened to cause your previous issue with the MFS,it could have caused a fault in the headlamp relay....Check,or pelace if neccessary.(30 Amp 5-Pin DPDT Relay)

I reinstalled the old MFS today and the headlights low and high both were working fine. then reinstalled the new one once again. The new switch is defective, all other switch's in it work fine. I contacted Rock Auto and they will replace it. If you don't put the cover top and bottom back on or the two top torx screws in you can get to the testing pretty quick.

There's been a couple of members recently, that had the same thing happen to them.......They were about to start running around, pulling hair out,and screaming "WTH??!!",until they realized(or someone suggested) the NEW switch was probably bad/defective.

Thanks Randy, I didn't know about the discount thing. I buy a lot of parts from them and I am not an on line buyer of other things. just to let people know after speaking to the ROCK they emailed me a return form and a FedEx label . They told me when the return box is scanned by FedEx the new replacement part goes to shipping at their end. I hope to see the second MFS by Friday. if anybody cares I bought the more expensive switch of the two (with fog lights) on ROck Autos web site because of the info page telling what a great product it was.
