Default Early PT Cruiser Prototype

Here is some lost footage of a very early Cruiser prototype that I have managed to dig up. It appears that it was judged to be too "retro" and so the styling was dialed forward somewhat.

Talking Re: Early PT Cruiser Prototype

I would definitely trade up for the first one, Randy!

Actually, concerning the video, the application was wrong......they needed AWD back then!
By the time they got around to developing the Cruiser we had pavement....allbeit not so good in Oklahoma secondary streets.

I liked how they rolled it over onto it's roof, then back on it's wheels..

Lots of things they could have done with the cruiser if they wanted to keep it alive....
