Default Brakes failure...

Hi folks,

Had a scary few minutes earlier. My brake pedal suddenly refused to depress / stop car despite working fine all day. Managed to crawl home and stop with the handbrake.

On opening the hood up I found a little rubber cap had come off, breaking the vacuum presumably. I've popped this back in place (behind the air con pipes etc) but can't find it on any of my manuals / engine maps to find the actual part name for it.

Can anyone help? will get a picture in daylight if not obvious from this description,

This is reported often.

It's a simple vacuum cap; one of any car or machine would work (probably better than the Chrysler one)

Thanks for that.

Amazingly struggling to find a cap the right size here in the UK. Worse still when I gave up and rang Chrysler they're struggling to even locate the part for me.

Latest is that it's not available separately and I have to order the whole part... hoping it's not expensive but awaiting a call back now.
