Question Frozen back door?

Oops! its been cold the last few days... today I went to open the back door and it was FROZEN SHUT. Weird! Does this happen to PTs a lot? No rain the last week, just a skiff of snow yesterday, didn't stick to the car...

Pondering the best way to get it open. Crank the heater, run the window defrost a few times? What usually freezes in there - lock? Ice in the door jambs?

I notice that the back door sills get a lot of dust build up (no ice, though).
After I washed it last week I made a point of carefully wiping down the insides of all the doors (back included!) exactly so I wouldn't possibly get any ice developing in there (cold spell was predicted...)

Wipe down the rubber gasket and mating surface with a little WD40 or ArmorAll. It seems to repel moisture and condensation. Do the doors too.

Agreed -I like silicone spray - it dries without oily residue.

Was it only one of the rear doors that wouldn't open and if so could you open it from the outside, but not the inside.
