Question Battery cover?

Does anyone know where to get a nice looking battery cover?

I added an Airaid Intake which now exposes the battery. I dressed up the engine a bit but the battery is a bit of an eyesore.

I bought something on-line a couple of months ago which turned out to be a piece of plastic garbage that was held by the battery shroud. It cracked and moved about...don't waste your money.

I was looking for something nicer, made of metal (Chrome/stainless). Something to further dress the engine.

Any guidance is appreciated. (07 Touring Edition)

Danny

How about polished stainless steel?

I wonder if I can get it in front of the Airaid Box. Did you paint or chrome the manifold ? Nice job...

Cool Re: Battery cover?

The plastic battery covers can be customized to fit better, and look like whatever you want.

Problem is....you shouldn't use any plastic covers (modesty or battery covers) during long/ daily driving - road trips.
The plastic will warp with the engine heat.
Most are just made for "Show(s)"!

This was soonercruiser's next to the AirRaid intake system.

My upper manifold was sent to a place that chrome plated any plastic part. The first time they did it, it started to bubble after a couple days because of the heat. I called, then sent it back to them and they did it over. It's been fine for a number of years now.

I did the red striping with a paint pen from Wal-Mart.
