Default interested in a 2004 gt

I am interested in a one owner black 2004 gt turbo it has 67,000 miles but it needs a new turbo. Car still runs. They never used synthetic oil or 91 octane. The question I have is it worth buying and repairing or is it too risky to buy?

If you get it cheap enough - be sure oil lines are replaced as well, and only use synthetic in that puppy.
Unless they "hot footed" it a lot, not using 91 octane ought not to have hurt anything.
I suggest you pay a mechanic to look it over and give an opinion.

Depends on price condition overall and if you can do the work or have to pay retail price for the work. If it were near me and I had the bucks the fact they used regular oil and low test fuel would not factor in to wether I would buy this Pt. It would be price versus the need work plus condition of the car.

Cool Re: interested in a 2004 gt

Agree with the Cruisers above....
IF the price is right.....I got a 2005 GT vert for a little over $5...with some warts to fix, including some turbo wine that I know will be a rebuild in my future.

The only thing that I missed when I bought the used PT (well, not really missed...the owner had a receipt, but turned out to be from her previous Cruiser) was the water pump and timing belt had not been changed.
So, that is #1 on my "to do" mechanical list.

I traded a '94 f-150 for my '04 PT GT. It also needed a turbo and from the looks never had synthetic. Replaced the turbo and all the lines and am doing the water pump and timing belt now.
It all depends on how much they want and how much you want it.
