Default Wheel cost?

Girlfriend skidded into a curb and bent her wheel and it needs to be replaced. The dealer has quoted $475 for a used replacement wheel. What is an actual reasonable price for a wheel? I think she has an 01 or 02 and it has the fancy chrome wheels on it. Can I buy an OEM anywhere online? Thanks.

$475 for a used wheel is robbery.
Go on TireRack.com - for a few bucks more, you can have a set of 4 delivered to you.

I had a nice laugh when they said $475 used. The question is, will a dealer install an OEM wheel if I bring it in?

Why take it to the dealer at all. Any shop that deals in wheels and tires can put it on for a small price plus balancing almost certainly cheaper than the dealer.

Be sure to get an alignment, hitting the curb probably knocked it out.

There's a whole set of 16' PT Chrome rims in Tahlequah, Oklahoma that can be had for $49. At least, there was last time I checked Craigslist.

You can get a set of 4 wheels at discounttiredirect.com for less than $475.
Dealerships are ridiculous sometimes.

Thanks for the help. So dumb question, if the bearing needs to be repacked, it can be repacked and will fit with an OEM replacement wheel right?

Cool Re: Wheel cost?

I really LOVE my favorite dealer, and drive 45 minutes west to go there for my mechanical needs.

BUT...tires and wheels....NOT!
I am happy with the local Hibdon Tire and Firestone stores.
