Default help needed...

first of all...hello everybody. this is my first post and have spent countless hours reading your forums for advice and specifics.

I have an 01 limited I bought with a few issues it has 230kms on it

the biggest issue is the battery light comes on intermittently. when is does I simply move the pcm upper plug and wiggle it till I hear the engine load increase to know the alternator is charging again.(I also have an indicator for battery status and alternator function in the 12v power adaptor inside the car to verify) the light doesn't go off till the car gets restarted. the pcm was replaced as well as a diagnosed faulty battery. I have had the wiring checked as well as grounds. the alternator has been replaced twice and has a brand new one installed.
so, I believe I am dealing with another pcm assuming the voltage regulator inside in is faulty? I can always get it to start charging again by wiggling that plug at the pcm, any other thoughts? there is no codes or dtcs

second sometimes chugs when driving...bad. I am going to replace the plugs. as I don't know when they were changed last. also the position sensor was replaced.

I have searched and read about problems the same as this throughout this forum but figure my issue may be diff with the pcm plug. any ideas are appreciated..thanks

While your doing the plugs and have the upper manifold off, change the plug wires also.

I wonder if you could download the factory service manual, use it to determine alternator field wire connector pins, and try to clean them ...

Doesn't sound fun, though.
Rather change the connecting rod.
