Default antifreeze smell

Everytime we turn on the heater you smell antifreeze, I'm guessing heater core.... any other suggestions so I don't have to change it?

I felt under there, and didn't feel any dampness.

You probably will shortly, the core is usually the culprit when you smell anti-freeze inside the cabin..

Make sure you don't smell it under hood. I can be sucked in through the vents.

I found a slow drip under the car at the bottom of the radiator, so I checked the bottom radiator hose for leaks and no fluid on it, but it was drip drip drip from the bottom of the radiator about 2 inches from the hose. So at a guess the radiator has a hole in it.... would that cause the smell from the vents?

When I bought the car they said it had a bad head gasket because it was bubbling up, that would've been the culprit right there wouldn't it of? I changed the head gasket...... it smelled like antifreeze in the car before, and still does now (through the air in the vents)

I would change this. It will cause overheating and bubbles and the smell.

Well you said it in ypur 7:49 posting. The smell would def, come from the engine bay as you did not feel any of the carpet wet or a high odor. That drip maybe from the hose just needing to be readjusted with the clamp loosened a bit.
Has happened to me when I have changed hoses and did not want to over tighten them. I had to come back and throw a few turns to close the small gap. After no issues with lost antifreeze.

I readjusted the bottom hose, it wasn't quite on all the way, but it's still coming out the bottom of the radiator, no fluid on or around the hose I inspected it well, only when the car is on. So I'm guessing with pressure it leaks.... I ordered a new radiator I hope it will cure it, I will probably replace bottom hose at the same time

Just make sure you don't get shortchanged, and end up with the 3/4" radiator core, instead of the 1"......You'd be amazed how much that 1/4" difference can make!(At least in WPM on on forum thread)
Warning: Advance Auto PT Cruiser Radiator Not To OEM Specs

My Amazon TYC 2298 PT Cruiser Radiator.. Warning: Lots of Opinion & Pics, Little Data
