Default Size of bolt in the back of intake manifold??

2006 PT CRUISER TOURING 2.4L NA.

Recently I found there is a missing bolt in the back of the intake manifold,
like the pic bellow, thanks Alex_Clarke's picture.

I guess without this bolt ,the intake manifold is not hold firmly so it vibrate a lot.

Any one knows what that bolt is called, size and where I can get it?

Thank you.

Hard to tell but it looks like a bolt that you circled? In the very early PT's there was an EGR pipe back there and it was held on by two different size bolts. In late 03 they did away with the EGR pipe and plugged the holes. You sure that "hole" your looking at goes all the way threw to something that would hold the upper manifold on? Most uppe rmanifolds are only held onto the throttle body by 3 bolts and 5 smaller bolts up front.

Actually, that bolt in the red circle is on something like a bracket, the bolt goes threw that bracket then into a hole on the side of the manifold.

Without that bolt, the manifold vibrate up and down a little bit when car idles.

What can I say about the second generation cruisers. Not sure why they would have that extra bolt there but nobody seems to be coming along to explain the situation or help you out. I still don't understand why the manifold would shake up and down at idle when the other bolts I listed held the manifold good and tight in the earlier cruisers. Oh well.

Anyway, Thank you.

I just think that bolt in the red circle will help a little.
It is not a big issue without it.

I looked in the parts manual for the manifolds, it doesn't show that one, got a junkyard near you that allows you to go in, if so go visit and grab one.

beauty; read the 2006 parts manual available on this site. It is in group 14; fig. 14-715. ---- I'd guess it is the one designated "M8 x 1.25 x 30 MM long with washer". ---- This manual is your friend!
