Default foglights

Hi I'm in the UK so have a pts cruiser with front and back fog lights. The fog light switch is playing up so I thought I would put a separate switch in place to operate the front and rear fog lights. Can anyone tell me how I can do this.

There will possably be someone (sanatanadharma maybe) here to help you shortly. The wiring for this particular item doesn't exist on our USA cruisers. We only have foglights on the front.

I would also suggest you make use of the UK clubs that are already in place in the UK.

As Jerry has suggested sanatanadharma maybe able to help, this information I can offer.

At the multifunction switch connector, the pink/light green wire at pin #13 is the fog light power from the PDC fuse #22.

At the MFS:
The front fogs are wired at pin #14 (2 light blue wires- one goes to dash icon light)
The rear fogs are wired at pin #12 (2 brown/white wires- one goes to dash icon light)

Remove the pins (12, 13, 14) from the multifunction switch connector.
Install your new switch with pin 13 "in" and pins 12 & 14 "out".
This will turn rear and front on together.
You can install a switch anywhere, running necessary wiring to the MFS.

This side of the pond, though we have only the front lights, I did this using a vintage fog-lite switch.
