Talking Good news ...for a change

I took my PT, '08, in for a "I just bought it and would like everything checked" service. The local shop offers free rotation, which it needed, and free break check (while the wheels are off), free take a look on the rack and see if anything is leaking or lose. Low and behold, after 40 minutes they told me the front belt and water pump looked new, the breaks are almost new, nothing is leaking or lose, the front end is tight, the only thing wrong is it has over 200K on it. Good News.....

At 200K? That's amazing.

Here in CA and specifically around where I live this is not an uncommon thing!
Many PT owners religiously keep up on the maintenance and care of their PT Cruiser's.

But to be honest I live in a Del Webb retirement community that has two complete clubhouses, restaurant, small shopping center and a golf coarse. So what does that tell you?

You guys missed the amazing part. That shop he went too. I impressed with both the PT and the shop.

My experience is that most will find something. Even on that pt. I do know of at least one that would be this straight up. Cars is what I do. So I hear and see it all.

Cool Re: Good news ...for a change

I always find it entertaining when '20/20' or 'Dateline' do their undercover car repair stings, about 9 out of 10 shops 'say' something needs repairing,on a vehicle that they've had checked out by qualified master mechanics beforehand.
