Question Parts from other cars

What parts from other cars have you found work well in the PT?

Engine parts, interior, exterior, etc.

There are wheels from other makes that fit the PT.

I've also heard that the sport seats from the NEON fit our cars.

What about other Neon parts? Specifically the center floor console.

Never heard anybody using that but there has been owners (maybe one) that have used the 2nd generation center floor console in his 1st generation PT with a little modification.

The OEM floor mats from a Chrysler LHS are much better than the stock PT floor mats. They are thicker, better made and cover more of the front floorboard. The only down side is that the eyelets for the hooks are not in the right place. But the LHS floor mats don't seem to slide, so that's not an issue.

Some will and some won't. I had a Sebring convertible before I got my PT. The engine block on my 2001 PT seems to be about the same on the Sebring, but the head is different along with the intake and exhaust. And Chrysler changed the engine block in 2003. So 2003 and up engines are likely all different.

Both cars appear to use the same general type of transmission. But luckily, the PT version is newer and upgraded. The old Ultradrive transmission had problems. But Chrysler seemed to have fixed them by the time the PT rolled out.

Of course, you can swap the stereo with no problem as long as both cars are in the same model range. Most everything else is different. The PT really takes a lot from the Dodge Neon while the Sebring takes a lot from the Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze class of midsize vehicles.

There are even some parts that crossover from Jeep, and even Mitsubishi.....one example: Door Latch Mechanisms, you just need to swap linkage rods.

What would go from a Neon to a PT? Mostly interior is what I'm looking for.
