Question Value of a 2002 Series I Dream Cruiser

I recently came across an individual with a 2002 Series I Dream Cruiser for sale. That's the one with the turbo front bumper but no turbo. And all in interesting Aztec gold metallic paint.

The car is complete and the paint is still good and it appears to be all original. The interior is in pretty good condition. It's missing one wheel center cap. Someone added the chrome window pillars and they are falling off. And one rim is said to be cracked, but their is no sign I can find other than a very slow leak in that tire. It's got about 120,000 on the odometer. Engine and tranny seem fine. I don't know if the timing belt has been changed or not.

What is this Dream Cruiser worth? Prices are too scattered on the internet to make an accurate estimate. I figure I can get the car somewhere between $1,500 and $1,800 cash. The title looks clean. What do you think?

Compare to a loaded '02 Limited - with all options.
This was the first Dream Cruiser and the first with body color bumpers.
All were Aztec gold.

Actual color is Inca Gold, changed from Aztec for obvious reasons.
I see a couple DC1s from time to time, they look better all the time.
I've never seen or heard of a 5 speed DC1.

Of course get it as cheap as you can. Assume needs belt unless given proof otherwise. Sounds like chrome blistering in the tire bead area allowing the leak. But a good buy all the same.

Yep.

I'm actually leaning toward that myself. While it would be nifty to own this Dream Cruiser, it's really no more car than I have now. I'm not a big fan of the gold either. I'd love to have the wheels and bumper though. I may talk to the guy to get a good idea of what he's willing to take just for fun. But in the end, I'll probably need to find something a little different if I'm going to buy another PT. Now if it was a 2003 Dream Cruiser, I'd be all over it.

Yep, once you start driving a GT, you never go back. But I might change my mind if I can find a 09 Dream Cruiser with the 180 HP turbo. Sucks that a 5 speed was not an option.

Unless they find a moron with money to burn,or someone that likes 'paying over KBB'......Never gonna get $10K,and since it's not even a real DC,be lucky if they get $5K.
