Default Tail light moisture

Not sure if this has been discussed. Ever since owning my 01 PT Limited for nearly 2 years, I've always had an issue with small droplets that condense on the inside of the tail lights after rain, snow, etc.. Only once have I had to replace a bulb. Anything to remedy this situation. Thanks.

Time for a new tail light. (see QSDon I do this to all the people I care about!)

If you wanted to you and was just a cheapo PT owner could pull the lens and fill it with water to find the leak and seal it?

You may be able to seal up your tail lights with clean RTV. But new tails are relatively cheap. You can get them on eBay for less than $35 each. I used the opportunity to install 2nd Gen tail lights with the clear signal lenses. There are also nifty custom style tail lights on eBay too.

I was a cheapo owner when mine cracked and were literally swimming in water after some straight few days of heavy rains. But hey...not from wanting to be a cheapo but sometimes it's out of necessity. So I got a little creative. (One of the enduring traits of a single mom lol!)

I, being a gal, already had nail polishes. So I took a translucent red and a clear and spent my shift at work that night (thank god for slow nights!) putting layers on it on the inside ,where I could reach, and the outside. The enamel worked and has lasted for several years now. So if you are in a pinch or want something to tide you over till a replacement comes in you could try that.
