Unhappy drain plug T350 trans

In the world of nothing is easy I tried to change my trans fluid in my 67 PT with manual T350.

I expected a regular hex bolt for the drain plug and found I think a Torx. The closest I have looks like a T50 the next size I have is T55 too big the T50 is just loose enough to believe if I tried to loosen it I would round it off. Anyone know the correct size and type of this bolt or a special tool. I also tried my SAE and metric hex wrench nothing comes close. Would like to do this myself as I just had to surrender replacing my sway bar bushings to my mechanic as I broke a bolt and the others looked like the same would happen. THANKS Mike

When I changed the trans fluid in my '01 I think it was just a regular bolt at the bottom of the trans... I don't recall needing anything special. It is labeled 'drain' on the case of the transmission.

Pretty sure I got the right spot. It is where the manual says but shows a regular bolt. To my chagrin it is not. Looks like a T50 but since I'm pretty sure it most likely has never been changed my T50 looks like if it is a very tight it will round off the bolt. Thinking of grinding down the T50 bit as the bolt is very shallow.

SUCCESSE!

Got the plug out and did the trans fluid change.

What I did was buy a cheap set of TORX bits and ground down the T50 until it flared out a bit. That made the bit a little tighter and was able to get the plug out. Thankfully it was not extremely tight.
