Exclamation Need help or idea with a problem

Hey all,
I have a 06 2.4 turbo and the other night I was driving and my battery light came on. Never seen that before. I park my car and shut it off and go to the store and come back out and it won't turn over just a click. After trying to get a jump I didn't not succeed and my starter stopped clicking aswell. Also this car came with a kill switch that runs from the ignition to the starter. Can that be a problem. My car won't turn on now. So before I start tearing it down tomorrow I wanted a better idea and I've tried replacing it with a new battery but did me no good. Any thoughts?

Curious why it has a "Kill Switch" ? if it was for security , the car wont run without a chipped key matched to the computer anyway..

Yea I noticed the wired coming from there dash straight to the starter and cut one day and found out it was a kill switch and then had to crimp it back together again.

Cool Re: Need help or idea with a problem

Start with the simple things first....
Make sure ALL connections are clean & tight(terminals, fender ground, starter contacts,etc.).
Then check cables for resistance(Ohms) with a mulitmeter,if there's too much...Replace the cable(s) as needed.
If your PT is equipped with factory fog lights, your MFS may be faulty, and causing a parasitic draw.
May also need to load test your 'new' battery(can't hurt to check).
Next thing would be to check the alternator for output @ idle(14V +/-?)
If those are all working correctly......It could be a problem with voltage regulation, and the bad news is<drum roll>.....The voltage regulator is an integral part of the TIPM,and if that's the case, the TIPM itself will need replacing.
But,check ALL of the things I've listed,in that order(more or less!) FIRST!
