Default Help identifying this part..

My friend gave up on fixing his 2008 2.4 pt cruiser and now I have inherited it, I am trying to put it back together and I need help identifying this part...

Good luck with the restore. I just can place that. A brace for the tranny or something to do with shift linkage area. I would guess. Welcome aboard an other folks will chime in. It is a holiday so be patient.

It looks a lot like the brace that goes from the bell housing on the trans to the side of the engine, located on the rear (firewall/dashpanel side) of the engine. Although I don't really remember it having the rubber isolator on it. that could of been added as a later year change.

Best bet is to obtain a factory service manual, it is a god send when doing just about anything to our vehicles, especially figuring out mystery parts
