Default Timing

First post on forum. I have owned since new a 2005 PT. It currently has 111,000 MILES and I am in the middle of a timing belt change. I noticed the cam gears have timing marks on both sides of the gear. Will a set of timing marks line up every time the crank comes to TDC? Or is it only important when the cam gears say up?----The tips I picked up here before starting this job and now joining have been a great help.----Found both motor mounts broke also.--thanks

HARMONIC BALANCER & CRANK SPROCKET REMOVEL AND INSTALL TOOL AND TIPS!!!!

Up is all important. Take pictures of timing marks when your done putting the belt on for future reference. Start with engine hanging lose and see if idles smooth before buttoning up.
