Default Skid Plate constantly Scraping

I bought a PT Cruiser a few months ago and have been really happy with it..

When I first bought the car, I scraped it quite a bit. I was used to driving a lifted jeeps and trucks my whole life. After I started driving slower on bumps, etc I noticed the skid plate ( I am not sure what its called on the cruiser. I cant seem to find any info about it when googling) is hanging down pretty low to the ground. Minor uneven spots in the road cause it to scrape.

When I crawled underneath and looked at it, I noticed all 4 bolts are holding it in place, but the skid plat itself was somewhat bent causing it to hang a little lower.

I am trying to find a replacement part , but I dont think its called a skid plate because I cant seem to find any info on it anywhere.

IRJ what you might be calling a skid plate might be the rubber air dam piece that runs the width of the car under the front bumper and is the lowest part that would hit first. There's nothing under the car except plastic pieces to protect rocks and debris from coming up from the ground but those pieces wouldn't stop anything hard or heavy from doing major damage.

There's no skid plate on my 2005 Touring Edition Non Turbo. the rubber dam air piece that Crewzin refers to does scrape from time to time.

Is it plastic?
I think you mean the lower part of the front bumper.
It is purely for looks/airflow - it doesn't protect anything.

There is a splash shield on the passenger side to shield the belts, etc. I had that hanging down a little low once upon a time. I don't remember if I got some new plastic push pins or made a couple of strategic holes and some nylon ties.... or both. But I tucked it back up there. If you have to have new, go to the dealer parts department and the clerk can pull up a schematic on a computer screen and you can point to the part you want. It should only cost about 20/30 bucks.
