Default Just moved over from the Corvette forums

Hi All,

I recently sold my 90 Corvette ZR1 and now I have one of the cars that I have always admired and put a lot of miles on as a rental car. Like another favorite of mine, the Pontiac Fiero, the PT has developed a large niche market of loyal and knowledgeable owners. I am now proud to be a PT owner and look forward to many hours of fun working on my new object of attention. My new ride is a 2002 base ZR with an automatic.

Some of you might wonder why someone would go from a true piece of automotive history to something seemingly much less but I actually grew tired of pampering, fixing, keeping out of harms way and just plain worrying about it all the time and missing out on the real reason we drive interesting cars, driving and enjoying the open road. I find the PT a very good road car that actually handles with the best of the 4 doors I have driven. Everything on the PT works well, at least for now, and I can relax and enjoy the ride.

I am looking forward to asking a question or two as I get into this great little car so I hope the forum will understand if I ask a few Newbe type questions.

I did all the mechanical work on the ZR1 and it was a lot of fun getting into the internals of the quad cam 32 valve LT5 motor and now I can learn about the workings of the 2.4. Half the valves and twice the fun, right ? The journey starts now,

Thanks and Just sayin HI,

Don

You're gonna love Crewzin - he has an '80s 'vette and a 2001 PT Cruiser.

Tell us the truth - too many tickets, right???

Welcome to the forum Don. Yep, there's no reason to just settle for one when you can have both.

Thanks for the comments. BTW, I have had 26 Corvettes, seven Fieros, one DeTomaso Pantera, one Shelby Mustang and NO TICKETS. Only once was I able to put the ZR1 through its paces and it was great. Most of the time I just drove it like any other car.

I plan on one more Vette but I don't know when. Right now my PT gets all my attention.

Thanks again

Cheers,

Don

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.
