Default photos of under dash !@#$%^&*A/C repair

The attached photos were taken by the A/C mechanic repairing my A/C, at stages of the replacement of the evaporator and heater core. For reference the photos are in order as follows, referring to the last three numbers of the photos;
845, removed, dash top, center council, glove box, knee panel and steering dropped.
206, dash face pulled back for access to blower box.
804, dash face positioned , blower box removed.
454, blower box split,awaiting parts and reassembly.
451, new parts (evaporator and heater core) filter cleaned and open blower box.
817, blower box reassembled with new parts in it.
Reverse the process to reassemble. Recharge freon.
I hope these photos might help some DIYS'ers. no more @!#$%^&* A/C for me. ptprice

This repair is a DIY headache. Good idea on not doing it yourself.

OMG.

I am thinking of replacing the leaking heater core in summer. I better think again.

I did just about the same thing when I changed out the heater core on the old Ford Taurus my daughter used to have.

While all that looks scary, it's really just a work-by-the-steps game. The only hard part on the Taurus was due to the weight of the dash. It had a crash bar made inside it and it weighed about 200 pounds. I had to get my son to help me lift it off and then put it back on. Other than that, it's not as bad as it looks.
