Default PCM Flash

I am based in the UK and have received a 2001 2.0 Petrol Touring PT. It has code P0602 (internal failure), it wont start due to this.

I have a parts donor PT same model engine, transmission and year and same part numbers. Swapped PCM over and it starts but immobiliser kicks in after a few seconds and comes up with SKIM fault.

Apparently according to my local dealerships its not possible to flash or reprogramme another pcm to another cruiser?

I see in the USA you all talk about it as though it is possible.. any ideas? Even if I have to post it to America..? Is this possible?

If you can get the skim module, key and PCM from the same vehicle it may work

Yes I can. So all I would need is the skim module and key and it shouldn't need reprogramming?

The reason you would need programming is the vin will not match if you have emission inspection where they plug the computer to check and probably match VIN in in USA Pennsylvania
You may need the ignition lock cylinder too, but there is a chance if you just have the PCM matching key close to the skim module it may work.

This is just theory.
I had a 01 neon I picked up a computer for in a junk yard and it was reprogramed at the dealer and it worked

Sorry I cannot guarantee this will work but its not all that much work to try
