Default Changes ,

well i put 6.5 speakers in the dash, and it was easy,
i was so bummed out no one tried that yet,,
well, its not done and i got bit by the stereo bug,
and feeling liek im 25 years old again,
so i ordered from parts express
and have 14 more speakers coming,
whats going to happen,
well
the 2 front panels are coming out ,
as well as the convertible rear panels
i have 18 mdf rings il will be adding and makeing into
custom panels,
then
rewire all the speakers
change out my single earthquake amp,
to 3 soundstream amps, and get rd of all but 1 set of passive crossovers
and going with electric crossovers,
and a dedicated sub amp,
AND SUPRISE
i will be sliceing off the basket handel in the process,
and some fun stuffffffffffffffff
can you guess what i will be doing
hint
something on the car to be modifed
to run 28-29 maybe even 30 inches,
guess are fun and welcome,

Please posts lots of photos of the work in program. I personally will be very interested in how it will all be wired with the cross-overs and amps.

Sounds like a great project.

I see you have a lot of speakers running in parallel. How did you handle getting your impedances right to match your amps?

Default Re: Changes ,

the subs are dvc4 ohm, thouse ill be runing right and left, in serriers for an 8 ohm load,
to give the speakers a touch more control, and less, mud

the rear
2@ 10s are 4 ohm,
4@, 5 inch mids are 1@ 8 1@ 4 but the 8 is 92db sensity,
2@ 3x7 dispersion tweet 4ohm
8@ 3x3 tweets 4 ohm
4@ 2inch tweets 8 ohm,

so cut that in half for right and left,

now using a 4 ohm passive crossover for the rear
so the woffs are fine
the mids i will run in parrel for 5 ohm
the tweets
the 3x3 all in serries for 16 (these are behind the seats anyways )
the 2inch in serriers for 16
the 3x7 dispersion horn is 4
all thouse 3 into parale for roughly 6ish ohm

the front
the 6inch are all 4 and i have 6 in the front
6 mids are 4ohm,
6 tweets are 4 ohm
all in serriers , i want all the controll and dampining up front ,
so around 16 ohm, on the 6inch, but i have the power to run them about 60 watts each
and should be super clean,
the mids should be 16
and the tweets 16,
the front mids and tweets will be on seprate amp, that ill mount up under the dash,,
