Default Loss of Compression

I have a 2002 PT, cylinder #3 has only 50lbs. of compression. It has a major skip at idle , when the rpms go up it appears to smooth out. This appeared to come on slowly i e check engine light came on and off until I felt the skip. I took it to get the code checked , that was when they said we had a skip in #3.
I took it to a shop , thats when we found out about the compression. Check engine light stays on all the time now and it beeps it we are at a redlight. Once we get to speed the beeping stops.

Find a better qualified shop!

Re-do a proper compression test and you can post results

Follow up with a cylinder leak down test and you can post results.

Than before you do the tests or reply may I suggest for you to read this.

Thank you and Welcome to the forum.
