Not 250, 230.
Larger injectors in 2004 - rating went to 220.
composite intake in 2005, went to 230.
Do a search - there are reports Chrysler underrated the turbo horsepower in the PT GT and SRT4.

The intake changes from the aluminum to composite was long believed and reported on auto forums to be a power increase part. However resent testing along with understanding what Chrysler did to increase the power rating has been shown to have been the PCM programming. The fuel injector size increase was to support the increases in fuel demands to make the higher engine output safe and reliable for a stock engine. The increased fuel injector size had a safe duty cycle operating range set by Chrysler power plant engineering and PCM program departments. The size of the pre 2005 injectors technically could have supported the 230HP engine output of later years second generation PTs but at a cost of increasing the duty cycle to 95+%. Most Performance programmers will stay at about 80% maximum before suggesting an increasing in fuel injection size and OEs generally are very conservative at up to about 70%.

That's correct. The turbo light got the bigger injectors too. It's only rated at 180 HP. It got the plastic intake as well as the 05 GT, and you guessed it! No HP gaines. 230 was a product of the pcm programming as with the stage 1! Even the cam shafts are all the same. Even the N/A has the same cams as the GT. The wonders of programing is responsible for it all.
