hi, newbie here...2002 PT ignition probs

Default hi, newbie here...2002 PT ignition probs

i am here because wife and her new car are 200 miles away..a Haynes isn't now available

'02, turn key, nada...a friend used metal bar to jump 'something', she drove home..turned off car, won't autozone acct. show no results for relay ...she sees no "ign" fuse at box

can anyone give me an idea where to go first with this?

i thank y'all much

Check fuse #1 ( 30 amp) in the under-hood PDC.

I would suggest checking the wires coming out of the starter to see if one or more of them got burnt and opened up after checking the fuses. Even if the fuse was the problem I would still check the wires as its not a good idea with a bar that could be hitting ground while trying to short 12 volt connectors. This is why remote starter devices are used to help keep wiring circuits from being shorted to ground.
