Default How Many Here Have Been Harped On For Driving A PT Cruiser?

How many of you guys and gals have been chirped on for driving a pt cruiser?

I was in te truck scene up until 1 year ago when I could no longer afford my 2012 Ram... Unfortunatly I had to sell it and I ended up buying a 2007 pt cruiser. The group of what I thought were friends hat I hung out with then decided they were too good for me and stopped talking to me over the whole deal... but none the less I fell in love with my pt cruiser and don't regret selling my truck!

a couple times but they tend to say it quietly..was told it was a so called bitch ride once.. that didn't go so well for them...say what you want about my car but don't call me a bitch.. mine is like a small truck and I can toss dead things in back if needed...removable liner and no rear seats.. I love my pt..it has style

I was at the the salvage yard late yesterday and while walking by, I heard this guy say to himself, "Man, that is one TIGHT PT Cruiser. I'd drive one if it looks like that!"

Does that count?

I have 2 PTs (have had for years) and very few people have dissed them. The most grumbling I've gotten is from a mechanic who was trying to work on it for me. Man, could he throw out the *&^%$#@!

Yep.

A lot of folks have the idea that PT's are hard to work on. And that includes non-Chrysler mechanics. They seem to think you have to saw the car in half just to change a headlight bulb.

In reality, the PT is no harder to work on than many modern cars. You just have to get used to the idea that you may have to take twenty minutes to remove the the grill, bumper cover or other piece in order to save three or four hours trying to work in a very tight space. And if Google and Youtube are your friend, you can easily find out what needs to be removed and when.

Most of us are over it!?

For me personally our PT is already known at the local track so grudge races are generally gone . It is funny now when I am in the staging lane and I see someone counting cars and asking others to swap lane positions so they don't have to run their early American Iron i.e. Camaros Mustangs etc., with me.
We I live in a retirement community so we only get compliments from people that live around us.

If he had said that about you that would be a qualifier. Lol

It's good you are getting good feed on it. I hear negative things like junk and ugly. But like Tood here some love them. Riding and driving gets positive feed. I know they seam to sell well for these bad times in car sales here. 5 different ones on four lots in 6 months on 6 mile stretch.
