Default Timing Belt Replacement

Any PT Cruiser ( Tech - Gurus) interested in making a few bucks on the side and
doing an engine timing belt, water pump and tensioners on a 2004- Non Turbo PT Cruiser ?

PM me if you are interested or know of any good Chrysler Techs
that may be willing to change the timing belt components some weekend.

I figure the car has another 4-6 months before this is a red light replacement concern.

I have heard this is a pretty tough job on the PT Cruiser !

Let me know.

if he drives from midwest he wont be saving any cash lol...that place must be skipping some stuff to do it that cheap...I however go to az occasionally anyhow and have considered going there...need to call them and ask some questions.. if they skip water pump ,tensioner ect its not worth it as you prob will be going back later to fix what was missed...but that's just my opinion

If your paying over $700 for the belt, tentioners, idler and the water pump replacement , your not looking hard enough
you can get the parts online for around $125 {gates kit}

The parts are not the issue, it's the labor cost....

Just had our 08 done, EXPENSIVE$$$$

$1,136.74 which included belt, tensioner, idler, water pump and new accessory belts.

I got 130K on the originals, I hope for another 100K since we do not drive our PT's hard.

I understand that , at $100 an hour for labor {avg} that leaves $575 for your labor cost its not more than a 5-6 hour job
